A Few Days in Heaven

There is nothing like a few days up at Mt Warning to blow away the cobwebs of the city and the mad rush to make a buck. Nestled in the bosom of the magnificent Mt Warning (Wollumbin in traditional aboriginal lingo... meaning Cloud Catcher) the Mt Warning Caravan Park stands amongst the rainforest as a beacon of light in a rapidly crazy world.

After driving all night from Sydney I arrive at 2:20am on a Sunday morning and, parking next to Chris's caravan E3, I snuggle down for a well earned sleep in the QEIII. I can but hope it will rain but even so, I know my view on waking will be one of heaven itself.

I crawl out of the QEIII at 9am to be greeted by Chris with a warm smile and an offer of coffee which is very welcome. It's good to see Chris again even though it's been 2 weeks since I was here. We've been coming here on and off for over 10 years although I still have some family snaps of me at age 3 with Mt Warning in the background. There is definitely something special about this place and it affects Chris and I alike.
