The Bali 9

Not a lot of action at the campsite lately but there are some juicy issues to pursue so here is the first post of 2005.

Predictably the bleeding hearts and other wombats, noteably the ABC and Fairfax, are up in arms about the fact the AFP did not wait for the Bali 9 to arrive in Australia before arresting them. Excuse me! The offences were detected on Indonesian soil and the arrests made by the appropriate authority i.e. the Bali police.

What right does the AFP have to insist that criminals be allowed to leave a country just so they will get a token sentence handed out by limp-wristed Australian judges? Absolutely no right at all and if the tables were turned, we'd be pretty pissed off if the Indonesians asked us to allow a bunch of criminals to leave Australia so they could be dealt with in their own country. Give us a break!

These 9 idiots knew the risks, knew what they were doing and despite their bleating can be assurred that fair dinkum Australians are lining up to join the firing squad.
